Web-Based Delivery of PSD
This document describes delivery of PSD content from PRX's web-based distribution system.
Public Radio Exchange (PRX) makes thousands of hours of high-quality programming available to stations via the PRX website.
Working in conjunction with PRI’s PSD Consortium, PRX has completed an additional component that delivers episode-level PSD. The PSD is delivered in the form of an added XML file that stations can elect to download when downloading the original audio.mp2 file, or it can be accessed live by the station’s TSU if the station is so configured. This will allow PRX member stations to access episode-level PSD that is compliant with our Suggested PSD Field Descriptions for all PRX programs. PRX is also making PBCore-compliant metadata available at a known web location or as an additional download.
